When you take on an ultra-trail, your trail running pack becomes an essential travelling companion. The COMPRESSPORT Ultrun EVO 10 was designed around the requirements of long-distance runners. We tested it over several formats (30 to 100 km): here is our field review.
Immediate comfort from the very first kilometres
You forget the pack is there from the first strides. Thanks to its ergonomic cut and its ultralight materials, it hugs the back perfectly with no pressure points. Even loaded, it stays stable with no bouncing, which is essential for preserving running economy over long distances.
Effective stability, even on the descents
The adjustment system is intuitive: the side and chest straps deliver a precise fit. Stability is particularly good on descents or technical terrain, preventing unpleasant bounce. We also noted the absence of chafing at the shoulders or the lower back, even after several hours.
Accessibility designed for runners
Every compartment can be reached without taking the pack off: soft flasks at the front, zipped side pockets, nutrition storage within reach. The storage is intuitive, well positioned and secure. A real difference during quick aid station stops or mid-climb.
Capacity and versatility
With 10L well distributed, the pack lets you carry all the mandatory gear for a long-distance race. It works just as well for a long run as for a demanding ultra. Some runners combine it with a carrying belt to spread the load.
Our verdict after several trail races
The Ultrun EVO 10 combines lightness, stability, accessibility and capacity. It meets the needs of demanding runners perfectly, in training and in competition alike. It fits ideally into a complete COMPRESSPORT outfit: shorts, T-shirt, socks, cap and accessories.
Conclusion: a safe choice for ultra running
Whether you are setting off for 40 km or 100 miles, the Ultrun EVO 10 is a reliable, comfortable and well-designed pack. It optimises how you manage your effort and limits sources of discomfort. A trusted ally for your next adventures.
