Everything about Compressport
Compressport combines compression expertise, body-science testing and real-world racing experience to develop technical gear for demanding athletes. The products focus on functions such as muscle support, thermoregulation, proprioception, aerodynamics and recovery while keeping weight and bulk to a minimum. The objective is to create equipment that works with the body and remains unobtrusive when intensity increases.
Some of the most recognisable technologies can be found in the Pro Racing Socks V4, R2 3.0 compression calf sleeves and the Aero range. Together, they address key performance needs such as foot stability, ventilation, muscular support, proprioception and aerodynamic efficiency. For after the effort, Full Socks Recovery 2.0 and Full Legs Recovery 2.0 extend the same technical approach into recovery.
The R2 3.0 uses targeted 360-degree compression around the calf to provide muscular support during demanding efforts. Textured Fibular Stripes stimulate proprioceptors to reinforce lower-leg awareness, balance and stability, while targeted waffle-knit zones promote microcirculation and lymphatic flow. Its seamless, quick-drying construction keeps the sleeve lightweight and comfortable over long sessions and races.
Pro Racing Socks V4 combine a close ergonomic fit with lightweight technical mesh, targeted arch support and Compressport's Dot technologies. On the Run models, 3D.Dots and Flat.Dots provide targeted cushioning, grip, ventilation and light micro-stimulation, while a wider toe box and terry padding help improve comfort and reduce irritation. Trail versions add more protection, reinforced zones and 360-degree arch support for stability on rough terrain.
The Aero range is engineered to reduce aerodynamic drag while maintaining ventilation and muscular support. Products such as the R2 Aero 2.0, Aero Socks 2.0 and Full Socks Aero 2.0 use wind-tunnel-tested Aero.Stripes and Aero.Dots to create controlled micro-turbulence around the leg. Lightweight Payen yarn and strategically positioned ventilation zones help keep the construction breathable and race-ready in hot conditions.
Low weight reduces unnecessary material and bulk so equipment can stay close to the body and feel less intrusive during prolonged efforts. Compressport combines ultra-light yarns, technical mesh and seamless constructions with targeted technologies only where they are useful. For example, the listed net weights are 32 g for the R2 Aero 2.0, 39 g for the Aero Socks 2.0 and 52 g for the Full Socks Aero 2.0.
Thermoregulation is built into many Compressport products through technical microfibres, open mesh areas and body-mapped ventilation zones. These constructions help evacuate moisture and increase airflow in areas where heat builds up most quickly. On ultra-light and Aero products, high ventilation is combined with low-weight fabrics so cooling performance does not require unnecessary bulk.
Full Socks Recovery 2.0 and Full Legs Recovery 2.0 use medically controlled graduated or progressive compression to support blood flow and venous return after demanding efforts. Body-mapped 3D zones are positioned around areas such as the Achilles, shins and major leg muscles to stimulate microcirculation, while breathable Q-Skin yarn supports comfort during longer recovery periods. Recovery compression can be useful after training and racing as well as during prolonged sitting or travel.
Full Socks Recovery 2.0 provide knee-high graduated compression from the foot through the calf, with targeted zones around the Achilles and shins. Full Legs Recovery 2.0 extend progressive compression from the calves through the thighs, adding targeted support around larger muscle groups while avoiding direct pressure on the knee. The choice mainly depends on how much of the leg you want to support during recovery.
Yes. The core performance principles remain similar, but the construction is adapted to the demands of each discipline. A road runner may prioritise featherweight ventilation, a trail runner may need additional protection, stability and proprioception, while a triathlete may place greater emphasis on aerodynamics and thermoregulation. Compression, lightweight construction and precise body-mapped technologies provide a common technical foundation across these environments.
