An absolute World Record and an unforgettable dual victory. The COMPRESSPORT athletes delivered a masterclass.
A new chapter in triathlon history was written today at the legendary Challenge Roth. Entering the race with massive ambitions, the COMPRESSPORT athlete line-up delivered on every front.
Sam Laidlow: shattering the world record (07:21:04)
Sam simply produced one of the greatest performances in long-distance triathlon history. Defending his Challenge Roth title is an achievement; doing it while setting the fastest iron-distance time ever recorded is the stuff of legends.
After helping establish a decisive lead in the swim, using COMPRESSPORT aero technologies, Sam teamed up to deliver a blistering bike split, powering through the 180km in an unbelievable 3:54:58 and hitting T2 with more than a 12-minute lead. The marathon became a thrilling battle of endurance. Despite the sheer fatigue in the closing kilometers, Sam dug incredibly deep to secure a monumental victory and cement his name in the history books.
Sam's Secret Weapons: It takes more than just raw power to set a World Record. Sam maximized his aerodynamics on the bike with specially engineered aero technology on his legs. To survive the brutal marathon that followed, he kept his head cool with a targeted cooling Ice Cap and his feet locked in with the Pro Racing Socks v4 Run High.

Alanis Siffert: the new queen of Roth (08:09:09)
After securing a brilliant third-place finish last year, 24-year-old Swiss sensation Alanis Siffert returned to Germany with one goal in mind: the crown.
Leaving the swim less than two minutes behind the leader, Alanis wasted no time taking control. She caught the front early on the bike and rode with absolute authority throughout the 180km. The biggest question was whether she could maintain that pace over the marathon. She answered emphatically, running a brilliant 2:45:00 personal best, almost 20 minutes faster than her Roth marathon a year ago! She crossed the line to celebrate her first Challenge Roth title and undoubtedly the biggest victory of her career.
Alanis's Secret Weapon: For her commanding 180km solo ride, aerodynamics were crucial. Alanis was equipped with the R2 Aero 2.0 Sleeves, designed to slice through the wind while providing targeted compression to delay muscle fatigue, perfectly setting her up for a record-breaking run.

Frederic Funk: an absolute show on home soil (07:38:14)
For Frederic Funk, this year's Challenge Roth was the ultimate target of the season. Back on home turf, the German powerhouse put together a spectacular performance from start to finish.
Fueled by the deafening roar of the home crowd, Funk maintained an incredibly high and consistent pace across all three disciplines. He crossed the finish line with a superb time of 07:38:14, claiming 7th overall against one of the deepest and most competitive fields ever assembled at Roth, confirming his status among the world’s true elite.

Performance does not wait.
This weekend, Sam, Alanis, and Fred proved that pushing boundaries requires an unbreakable mindset and state-of-the-art equipment. Leave nothing to chance for your next starting line.
