In spite of a 6th place after the swim exit, Fredrik did not let go. He managed his forceful pedal strokes up the cycling pack and secured a precious second place.

He crossed the finish line with full-3 minutes advance on his immediate contender. Beware Kona! Van Lierde is heading fast and furious!

It’s already got into the second week of biking and the fight between Pro Teams Quick-Step Floors, UAE Team Emirates, Lotto-Soudal and Orica-Scott could not have been fiercer. David Del La Cruz, Matteo Trentin, Tomasz Marczynski, Matej Mohoric, Julian Alaphilippe are the riders setting some marvellous results by the chrono, hands ups at the finish line! The third week of competition promises to be just epic!

Marco de Gasperi finally makes it 1st on the Matterhorn Ultraks !

Ultraks-824x400The Skyrunning World Series Calendar is well achieved with only 3 races to go and Zermatt was definitely meant to be an action-packed event. A picture-postcard venue, 49 kilometres of running, 3600 meters of climbing all this set in around iconic Matterhorn peak.

Marco De Gasperi 824x400Our Italian partner, Marco de Gasperi, a sequence of 2nd places in his wake, was eager to finally make it a win on Zermatt 2017. It took him 27 kilometres before he could finally make a move towards the finish line in a leading position. Not only did he win, but managed to set a new record over Killian Jornet`s one, on a race that was 1 kilometre longer! A maestro won’t do less!
