Denis Chevrot | Pro Triathlete With a career different to most of his rivals, Denis Chevrot competed in swimming until 2010 while also completing his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. It wasn't until the age of 23 when Denis made his debut in triathlon. Just four years later, he had already won his first long distance triathlon and qualified for the Ironman World Championship. He is only one of four French professional triathletes to start this legendary race.

How did you get into Triathlon? The first time I heard about Ironman was in 2007 when I saw a documentary on TV. Then I wanted to race an Ironman and I knew one day I do it. My first time was a race in Regensburg, in 2011. I did it after nine months of training; starting from zero on the bike and run.
When you're not training, what else are you into? I eat and I sleep :) Actually in all seriousness, I am also a triathlon coach and I work with seven athletes, which takes a lot of my spare time. Of course, training is a big part of my life with my weekly average in 2018 being 24 hours a week, so I don’t have a lot time to do a lot of other things.
Free Belt Pro! I never start a training or race without it. It is very light, comfortable and useful for carrying everything I need. Denis Chevrot | 4 x Ironman World Championship qualifier
What would you choose as your profession if you weren't a triathlete?
I have a Master Degree in Civil Engineering, so I would work in a job in construction. One of my sponsors, ROUGEOT, is a building company so when I retire I will do my transition into this society.
Why Compressport? I like the spirit of Compressport: always aspiring to develop their material, with an aim that improves performance and provides comfort, but not forgetting about maintaining style. Compressport is a really innovative brand. Also, in races all around the world, you can find athletes wearing Compressport stuff, which makes me proud to be part of this team.
What is your favourite product from Compressport?
It is hard to choose only one; I like lots of products from Compressport.
The one I always use during training is the FreeBelt Pro. Before I discovered the Freebelt Pro, I always carried something in my hands. Now I really I really appreciate to run with my hands free.
For racing, I like the Ice Cap. It helped me during Hawaii in 2018 where I used it for the first time. I didn’t struggle during the marathon in the extreme heat which is always a challenge there.
