It wasn't until the age of 23 when Denis made his debut in triathlon. Just four years later, he had already won his first long distance triathlon and qualified for the Ironman World Championship. He is only one of four French professional triathletes to start this legendary race.

How did you get into Triathlon?
The first time I heard about Ironman was in 2007 when I saw a documentary on TV. Then I wanted to race an Ironman and I knew one day I would do it. My first time was a race in Regensburg, in 2011. I did it after nine months of training; starting from zero on the bike and run.

When you're not training, what else are you into?
I eat and I sleep :) Actually in all seriousness, I am also a triathlon coach and I work with seven athletes, which takes a lot of my spare time.  Of course, training is a big part of my life with my weekly average in 2018 being 24 hours a week, so I don’t have a lot of time to do a lot of other things.

What would you choose as your profession if you weren't a triathlete?

I have a Master Degree in Civil Engineering, so I would work in a job in construction. One of my sponsors, ROUGEOT, is a building company so when I retire I will do my transition into this society.  iety.

My favorite products this year are the T-Shirts. I like the racing, the performance and the training. I like them because there are lots of colors, they can match with everything (training clothes and casual). Even the training shirt is light.
