Technologies

Aero Stripes

Aero Stripes

A structured weave adds micro turbulence to the surface of the sock in any wind conditions to improve aerodynamic performance and reduce drag.
Thermo-Regulation

Thermo-Regulation

Its unique weaving favors the circulation of the air and allows a perfect balance between the outside and the interior. Thus the body remains at the same temperature without rising or falling sudden. A real protection in winter against cold and during the hot temperatures it is forgotten…
Achilles Support

Achilles Support

The combined effect of the 3D.Dots and Flat.Dots along the Achilles tendon protect it from friction and pressure whilst optimizing ventilation.

Description

It`s no secret, our R2v2 compression sleeve revolutionised sportswear, setting a new standard for compression sleeves and earning spots on countless podiums in the process. Our R2 Aero sleeve goes even further, developed in a wind tunnel used by Formula One racing teams, it`s our most aerodynamic compression sleeve yet`designed with high-speed bike events in mind. A combination of our unique Aero.Stripes and Aero.Dots create micro-turbulence at the front of the calf and reduce drag, whilst ventilation stripes at the rear keep things cool even when the heat is on. And as this is an R2 sleeve, we`ve still made sure they give you the optimum comfort and support. When put to the test, the R2 Aero sleeve showed a proven gain in power of between seven and eight watts when compared to cycling without sleeves. Over long distances like the 180k you spend spinning the pedals during an Ironman®, that`s not just saving seconds, that`s saving minutes. And when every second counts, a minute really counts.

FAQ

Everything about R2 AERO

What are the R2 AERO designed for?

The R2 AERO are designed for triathlon, using targeted calf compression and support during effort. Its design focuses on aerodynamic efficiency, together with heat management. That makes it relevant to athletes looking for a product matched to the practical demands of triathlon. The best way to validate the setup is to use it in training before relying on it for an important race.

How are these calf sleeves designed to support aerodynamic performance?

One of the main features is proven aerodynamic performance with aero stripes and aero.dots technology to reduce drag and increase speed. In practice, this is intended to reduce unnecessary drag where speed and efficiency matter. This works alongside heat management.

How do these calf sleeves help manage heat during intense efforts?

One of the main features is ultralight fabric around the calf for high-performance ventilation and comfort when racing in hot conditions. In practice, this is intended to manage heat build-up when intensity and temperature rise. This works alongside targeted compression. This makes it especially relevant to triathletes looking for equipment that performs consistently across both structured training and race-day conditions.

How do these calf sleeves use compression to support performance?

One of the main features is high-level muscle support to the calves, decreasing the risk of injury and cramps through targeted 360-degree compression. In practice, this is intended to support the working muscles and limit unnecessary movement during effort. This works alongside aerodynamic efficiency.

What are the R2 AERO made from, and how much do they weigh?

The listed composition is 36% multifilament Polyamide 35% Elastane 29% Polyamide. The listed net weight is 38 g. That specification fits the product’s emphasis on reducing bulk . For triathlon, that matters most when small comfort or equipment issues can become more noticeable as the effort gets longer.
