FINAL WHISTLE ON THE SKIMO SEASON

Winter has been more than tough on the mountains since the beginning of the ISMF Season. So when the Val D’Aran event in Spain opened under a bright sky this weekend the mountaineers were more than motivated to give their best performances and close the show with panache.

William Bon Mardion – A Beautiful Mind in a Fit Champion!

The Saturday race on the Val d’Aran was very technical:

18Km,  1800 vertical meters.

824 * 400William Bon Mardion closes his season with a great finish grasping the 5th place in the individual race, less than three minutes behind the winner, Matteo Eydallin. Great race by the Big Mardion geared in his best compression clothing signed by Compressport! Overall, after consistent performances during the whole season, William takes a very strong 4th place!

Alexis Sevennec, Nadir Maguet and Xavier Gachet rank 10th, 11th and 18th respectively.

Teresa Nimes – The Trail Lady is not letting go!

824x400She won the Transgrancanaria 82 km Advance race last February and it seams nothing will deter her determination to stay close to the podium each time she is on the tracks!

The Patagonian Run was no exception as our Teresa wins the silver medal after battling with the cold temperatures and the 9000 vertical climbing meters. She stopped the clock at 21:36:26. On the Ultra Trail World Tour, the women`s league promises to be quite a fantastic feast throughout the 2017 season.

Alberto Contador – The fight with Valverde goes on!

Alberto Contador_824_400)The Spanish pair Valverde/Contador steals the show again on the World Tour Racing when they battle on their respective bikes for the greatest of finishes. The Basque Country, the perfect climbers`paradise, witnessed a tough mano a mano between Alejandro and Alberto and the final win was finally the first-named`s. Alberto was a fantastic runner-up. The next confrontation between the two will be epic!

Compressport Team tops the Podium in Croatian Istria

The Ultra Trail World Tour adds another trail track to its prestigious list of trail competitions : the 100 Miles of Istria. Over 171 Km and with more than 7000 vertical meters and breathtaking landscapes it offers a mix of technical terrain, muddy valleys, coastal running and weaving through the cities and forests. American Compressport Teammate Dylan Bowman came to Croatia with one thing in mind: win the Istria! His determination never failed and he outpaced the second finisher with almost one hour advance at the finish line. Time : 17:51:50.

Giblin 824x400Our Paul Giblin fought fiercely from his long time 10th place during the race to reach the 3rd step of the podium, less than 2 hours behind Bowman.

The Istria Ultra Trail, with two Compressport Teammates was nothing less but AWESOME!
