The benefits of compression have been realised by a relatively small number of athletes. Athletes who continually challenge their performance and need to reduce their risk of injury. Since 2008, they have been using R2 calf sleeves to train for longer, race harder, recover faster and win the world’s toughest endurance races. R2V2s are the next progression in compression calf sleeves.

Having experienced a series of calf injuries in the year building up to the event and being slightly more rested than usual put Ludovic in an advantageous position to perform. The science behind R2V2s calf sleeves helped to delay muscle cramps whilst racing and supported Ludovic during those steep alpine descents. Little did Ludovic know when heading out on the iconic mountain ultra race that he would go on to win the UTMB® in 2016 wearing Compressport R2V2s.
