Our team made a honourable start on the team time trial stage, with a short distance race on flat roads that placed ORICA-SCOTT team at the 3rd place while Canyon-SRAM were the 5th fastest against the clock. Boels Dolmans Pro CT won the trial.
Day 2 saw the tremendous win of our Orica-Scott team rider, Dutch Annemiek VAN VLEUTEN who managed to widen the gap on the most technical part of the route between Zoppola and Montereale Valcellina to fiercely grasp victory.
On Day 3 of the Giro, British Hannah BARNES pedalled to her first UCI World Tour win and her first as well under Canyon SRAM colours.
It appears that after this memorable fist week competition, Compressport® Team partners are all set to steal the show in France on the TDF and in Italy on the the 28th Giro d’Italia Internatzionale Femminile!
