JAVIER GOMEZ NOYA – THE IMPOSSIBLE COME BACK!

That which does not kill us makes us stronger …  

This maxim could have been Javier NOYA`s. After a year-break out of the ITU series, he made the most incredible comeback on the Abu Dhabi ITU race, claiming the 1st place as a great champion!

Javier gomez 824x400He took off the lead right from the start… 1st out of the waters, he hopped on his bike and quickly became the front-runner of the first lap. When he finally decided to break through, no one could compete with his fast pace. Tom Bishop tried something but was quickly left behind by a more than determined Javier. After 1H52mins31secs of race, Javier mounts the first step of the podium, hands up!

In 50 endeavours, Javier NOYA has won 13 podiums, been 2nd runner up 17 times and 3rd runner up 7 times.

Tim Wellens bikes through Tuscany in compression tights and comes 3rd!

All that happened on the Strade Bianchi is now levelled to World Tour status and this 12th edition in Italian Tuscany attracted a pack of cycling stars for a unique experience.

Tim Wellens 824x400Lotto Soudal team once again got a breakthrough and placed Tim WELLENS in the leading pack. However Team Sky`s Michael Kwiatowski was unreachable ahead of Greg Van Avermaet from BMC Racing. A well-deserved 3rd place goes to Tim.

On the women`s side, our best rank was Elena CECCHINI`s 10th place, on the account of Canyon SRAM Racing.

Curtains go down on the ISMF Ski Mounteering World Championship

Skimo_824*400Another week of competition on a technical track full of steep obstacles was set on the Italian Alpago Piancavallo. Swiss Iwan Arnold claimed victory on the Sprint race. Our Italian partner Nadir MAGUET finished just outside the podium.

During the vertical race, with perfect weather conditions, Xavier GACHET and William BON MARDION crossed the line in 6th and 7th places respectively.

Last but not least was the relay event claimed again by a Swiss team, followed by the Italians. Our French Team came fourth.

Earnestly awaiting the Pierra Menta Long Distance Team event scheduled for next week.

Next Week…

We will be running in Barcelona, cycling from Paris to Nice and ski mountaneering, again, in Italy.

At the same time, the Ironman series set off for a wonderful year! The feast begins in Philippines and Argentina.
